Medical Oncologist
Department: Medical Affairs
Reports to: VP, Medical Affairs & Oncology
Overview: Performs Diagnostic Oncology reads using independent judgment.
Responsibilities:
- Interprets clinical data according to standard medical practice, GCP guidelines, protocol and charter definition and according to standard RadPharm SOPs
- Completes source documents accurately and promptly, according to the specific charter requirements and following RadPharm SOPs
- Corrects entries on source documents and Case Report Forms (CRFs) in a timely manner as needed
- Participates in training sessions for the respective protocols
- Performs Photo Image Quality Assessment (Photo IQA) and participates in the Medical Photography process
- Reviews protocols, charters and associated clinical and technical study documents as required
- Maintains security of images, data and equipment
- Ensures confidentiality of study protocols and subjects is maintained
- Participates in sponsor site visits and audits as requested
- Collaborates with management to resolve oncologic study concerns and problems
- Responsible for his/her continuing professional education
- Performs quality control on his/her work for completeness
- Identifies and participates in the performance improvement process
- Participates in the development, review and evaluation of SOPs and study specific procedures
- Maintains a safe work environment and reports workplace hazards immediately
- Participates in the MA lecture series
- Other functions as assigned by the Vice President, Medical Affairs & Oncology
Qualifications:
- Medical degree
- Possess a valid US medical license, desired
- Board Certified Oncologist
- Experience in research and/or imaging core lab, desired
- Graduate of an approved program in Oncology, with additional subspecialty training as required.
- Organization and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Self motivated, flexible and adaptable to business needs
- Must have interpersonal skills to interact effectively
- Outgoing, friendly, professional personality
- Must present a positive attitude and a professional appearance.
- Must possess analytical abilities necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge regarding diagnoses, radiographic interpretation and treatment of oncology subjects.
