Robert R. Ford, M.D

Robert Ford, MD received his B.S. degree from Rutgers University in 1979 and his M.D. degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 1983. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center and the Medical Center at Princeton. In 1988 he completed a Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Cornell University Medical Center-New York Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Hospital for Special Surgery. He is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Neuroradiology.  Dr. Ford is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He is a Consultant Radiologist at Carrier Clinic, Princeton University, and the University Medical Center at Princeton. He is on the Board of Directors of Princeton Radiology. 

Dr. Ford is a Founder of RadPharm. From 1998 until 2006 he functioned as President, CEO and CMO.  In 2006, due to continued growth of the company he maintained his position as CMO to focus on the medical and scientific aspects of the work performed at RadPharm and within the Imaging Core Lab industry.  He is a member of the RadPharm Board of Directors. Since the early 1990’s, Dr Ford has supervised the independent review of more than 350 oncology clinical trials that have used medical imaging as an endpoint and the submission of images to the United States Food and Drug Administration that have lead to approval of nine oncology drugs.

Dr. Ford is a member of the RECIST Working Group that has recently updated the RECIST Criteria.  He is a member of the American College of Radiology Uniform Protocols in Clinical Trials (UPICT) Steering Committee and CT Work Group.  He is a member of the Radiologic Society of North America (RSNA) Quantitative Imaging Biomarker Alliance (QIBA) Steering Committee and Volume CT Working Group and is a member of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers (PhRMA) Extended Imaging Group.  Dr. Ford was presented with the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Robert Wood Johnson Alumni Society in 2007 in recognition of his accomplishments.
