Michael Anthony Habib, MD
Dr. Habib received his BA degree from Cornell University and his MD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the United States Naval Hospital in Philadelphia where he achieved the rank of Commander. Dr. Habib completed his fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the Cardeza Foundation of the Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Habib is registered with the National Cancer Institute as an independent investigator and has authored clinical studies of chemotherapy use and has participated in CALGB and ECOG clinical trials.
Prior to joining RadPharm in 2005, Dr. Habib has served as the Medical Director of the Ravenel Oncology Center of Memorial Hospital, the Henry Cancer Center of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, where he was also the Chairman of the Cancer Committee and the Tumor Board and the Medical Director of Oncology Services at Ephrata Community Hospital, where he also the Chairman of the Cancer Committee. Dr. Habib has also been the Chief Medical Officer at Quality Oncology.
Dr. Habib has been board certified in Internal Medicine since 1971, Hematology since 1972, and Medical Oncology since 1975. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation.
With more than 20 years of clinical practice in Medical Oncology and Hematology Dr. Habib’s research and clinical interests include management of Malignant Lymphomas, and the use of Stem Cell Transplantation for managing Pediatric and Adult hematological malignancies. Other interests include the use of solid organ transplants for treatment of visceral neoplasia.
